I strongly doubt that PSP sales will go anywhere but down (except the very few weeks after 3000 release).
The reason is that 2 out of 3 strong points are done much much better by Apple with it's new Iphone 3g. I'm talking here about WiFi and mp3 / video playing.
Whoever will buy a PSP from now on will buy it exclusively for games while the console was always advertised as an all in one media handheld.
