Amazing sales over a long period of time.
People have to realise that appealing to wider than present audience is always one of the major objectives of any form of entertainment. Even Halo3 did that with its advertising blitz, making people who maybe hadnt played the games yet, want it.
"The accumulated filth of all their sex and murders will foam up about their waist and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save us!"...
....and I'll look down and whisper "no."
