What do you mean still buy them? The RROD is replaced under a rather long warranty entirely free. It would require little of my time and absolutely none of my money. What is sad is people throwing out wildly inaccurate claims and then trying to insult someone else over what games they enjoy. Perhaps you should open up your mind and accept that not everyone enjoys the games you do.
