My Not so limited understanding of the economy says that I don't like what either side is saying. They are just politizing the whole situation. I have studied finance, and if Obama's economic propostions were put into place now it would be a disaster. I do like McCain's blaming of the greed and corruption better than Obama's pointing fingers at the GOP.... Hell, the Gop has not even been in power the last 2 years...

My not so limited understanding of the economy says me that McCain didn´t have a clue this week. There´s no need for me to repeat that here, since it´s easily found anywhere.
Indeed, both sides can't do very much to control this situation, but from someone who says he has a "not so limited understanding of the economy" I would at least have expected:

a) That the deregulation of the last 10 years or so, which is definitely a Republican economic view, is a main reason for the enormous panic on Wall Street (Europe for example has much tighter regulation and much less problems atm).

b) McCain is actually blaming Obama! That's ridiculous beyond end, and much more ridiculous than blaming the GOP, cause that has at least some truth in it. Corruption is nonsense, greed yes, but corruption? Totally deregulating Wall Street is like letting kids free in a big Toys R Us without any oversight and expect them to do their homework.
