I don't really understand the huge deal about JRPGs this generation, but I don't get it. I only played two JRPGs last generation (FFX, and FFXII).

Not really.  It looked incredible and the music was really good but it really wasn't that good of a game.

It's been a while since I've played it, but these are things I remember:

• You get an insane amount of money in the first 10 minutes of the game
• It doesn't matter you just got an insane amount of money in the game because you don't get to a shop for 10 hours.  But hey, at least you have enough money to last you for the rest of the game right?
• The chick with the bow is just stupid overpowered.  She can heal your entire party and take a single enemy in one round.
• Fort Fermata is the worst dungeon I've ever played.  Seriously, they took everything you shouldn't do in a game and did it there.  The other areas ranged from bad to just not that good but Fort Fermata was just painful.
  
• The battle system was isnteresting but really wasn't that special.  It turned into simple button mashing once you got the hang of it.

So yeah, the game really isn't anything interesting enough to get excited over.
