I'm sure that Japanese people want RPGs, but they also want quality, and not waiting a year for a game that's readily available on another platform.

I don't really understand the huge deal about JRPGs this generation, but I don't get it. I only played two JRPGs last generation (FFX, and FFXII).

Eternal Sonata is a good game though.......

Not great, but good.

79 on Metacritic with our broken review scale seems to differ.  A game in the seventies is pretty not good, not IMO, but in the industry's opinion.

Personal experience, the game isn't that great.  Granted two hours of a game can hardly justify a purchase, or whether a game is good, I didn't like it at all.

As I said in the other thread.  You are denying Metacritic's own scale.

According to their scale, Eternal Sonata received "generally favourable reviews."

/sigh

I give up.

The game got a metacritic of 79, and sevens are generally not good games with our broken review system.

Who cares what Metacritic says (or anyone else for that matter.)  If you like the game, buy it.  If not, don't.  Some people are such sheep.

Hackers are poor nerds who don't wash.
