How do you have any decent aim with those sensitivities like that? Myabe I'm just spoiled but the Shock Rifle from UT2004 taught me that a little physical work goes a long way when it comes to accuracy. |
7.5 on Source games is not too bad. You're right more movement means better accuracy...and it still matters in modern games, trust me. But I'm of the opinion that it's better to stay alive in a game than get a maximum number of kills. For example: I run around shooting people with an assault-type rifle on 3 sensitivity, getting let's say, 10 kills. And then someone starts shooting me from behind. My reflexes are fast, but not fast enough to get that turn-around and retaliate.
Now I've got 7 sensitivity, and I've got maybe 6 kills...couldn't quite get those other 4 because I'm not super-accurate, my mouse movements are small yet my cursor moves a lot. But then someone shoots behind me, I zap around and take him out...I'm still alive and probably have a chance to get health and get another 4-6 kills.
Reflexes and speed vs. accuracy I guess. You could have them both if you simply move your hand fast enough I guess...but 7.5 is my sweet spot (in Source games anyway), I still have a good amount of accuracy but enough speed to react as well.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release. (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
