Is there any other reason though. I cans ee that being a reason for it to sell ridiculously well but not as a reason for it to push consoles.

Because...it's a casual title. When was the last time a casual Nintendo title didn't boost HW?

When captain rainbow came out like 3 weeks ago

 

 

 Captain Rainbow is a niche genre game.  Point and Click isn't casual.
