All companies on the other hand, do not get barraged with random and down right ludicrous law suites one right after another. They also do not all point to a specific invention that a company makes. These lawsuites are directly singling out the PS3 as the target. They all seek to hinder the PS3 in some way. 4 lawsuites all in a 1.5 year span, aimed at the same product, when a particular company stands to gain the world on it, is NOT coincidence. M$ can't kill Sony. The worst they can do is get sony to quit the video game business which is highly unlikely considering their past success in the industry. Sony makes more than videogames, I hope you realize that. M$ doesn't compete with Sony Studios, Sony Eriksson or Sony Electronics. In fact, both companies co-operate in the PC industry.
