Would the Wii be as succesfull with a PS360 ?

It would be great, cos buy two consoles is way easier than buy three, and everybody would have more money to buy more software instead of (very expensive) hardware...

And for the devs, make two versions of a game, or have only two options for exclusives, is an easier choice: the quality of the games would increase (they may "optimize" each game for each console easier), and their profitabilty would increase (they would face two very healthy markets, instead of three "hazardous" ones, at least at the start of the new gen)...

In the current situation, it's already Wii vs PS360 anyway, so the marketshare for Wii would be nearly the same in a two consoles world or in a three consoles world...

Some people buy both 360 and PS3, but most may only afford one... plus the Wii for the open-minded gamers out there... cos Wii is a great first choice, or a perfect second choice, and that's one of the reason of its actual success...

 

 ^This is what I keep saying.  When someone buy a wii, it´s not a choice like: - Do I buy a wii or a ps3 or a x360? No! The question is do I buy a wii or not? That´s why I think the wii doesn´t compete with the other, it compete with itself, only. That´s because it´s image it´s atached to another type of fun-liked game experience. Most of the top selling games in Wii are fun because of the wii remote and remarkable because of the peculiar Characters. There´s a thread asking if wii owners would buy a ps3 and half said they would, depending on price. Now Ask them why they bought a wii and if they ever thougth of getting another console first. They´ll probably answer that the library and wii remote got their loyalty and that they never thoutgh about getting another one instead. That they entered the stored aiming for a wii. The fact that they consider buying a ps3 or a x360 show that they are open minded and want to experience the game sthat wii can´t provide, but they love wii the most.
