^ The one thing I will say in Maynards defence is that I think if you look at the argument logically, which is the speculation of sales among Normal-Nongaming-cazer class-doesn't know what HD resolution is even if it's stamped to their forhead's consumer, that PEOPLE don't know about franchises that are popular among the people who frequent these videogame sites. It baffles me the way some people on hear don't comprehend that. If a series which is a big thing to hardcore gamers sells less than 500,000 in two days, their all like OH shit it BOMBED, WHY! I blame George Bush or some shit. (I'll blame Wii Fit!! :^)). The average Soccer Mom and their 6-year old (lets face it, Gamers aren't the majority on the market anymore) aren't going to know or care about Yakuza Kenzan, or any title that has it's roots on some system 10 years ago. Guilty Gear, Fallout, Armored Core, ioi, Tempest, Bionic Commando, Tekken, are only familiar to US. To the majority of game buyers on the market these titles may as well be called Fushimigami, ioi, and Bullshit the wonder puppy because they won't care for it anyway and they aren't researching the product they spend their money on. SO yeah the Wii library looks the greatest to the people who have only heard the videogame words Mario, Zelda, Nintendogs, Space Invaders, Pac-Man, Doom, Crash Whatsisname, Ms Pac-man, Halo, Grand Theft Auto, That guy who does that thing, Doesn't Star Wars have a game? and oh yeah Guitar Band!
ok I'm done.
-edit-
I almost forgot "Wii thingy"! (quoted from actual customer in store)
"Let justice be done though the heavens fall." - Jim Garrison
"Ask not your horse, if ye should ride into battle" - myself
