The 360 had an early launch compared to the Wii and PS3. At the same time you have to subtract the overlapping sales of the PS3 and 360.
But still, the consumers seemed to like the Wii from the moment it was launched. Had the two companies collaborated to make one super console, Wii probably would still have a small lead.
