The PSP actually had better support it took a hounding from games like Brain Training and Mario Kart DS and the ensuing explosive product base to get to that level. I think your last statement is an oxymoron. Either the Wii will have more 3rd party support and dominate like the PS2 or it will not. I personally pick the latter...
Btw just because a game hasn't been announced doesn't mean its not being made. Its very unlikely that any game developer is going to announce a game during the rush to the holiday season. Most games are announced between Jan-June.
