Then MGS4 still has an outside chance of matching it, doesn't it? 

Consider that MGS2 was released around the holidays, and MGS4 was released in the middle of summer. No surprise MGS4 is undertracking.

I guess we'll have a much better picture come January 1st.

yes that is the standard PS2 version sales...

And yes MGS4 does have a chance of beating them...as long as it gets near 4.5 million by the end of this year.
