Corrected your prices in line with the logic you say you are employing in your argument (ie. comparing the cheapest a console could have been obtained at retail at launch compared to now), but (oh dear) it shows that the XBox 360 price cuts aren't keeping pace with those of the PS3 and the price differential is actually reducing. Surely this means Sony are more desperate than Microsoft.

there is not a single ps3 model that recieved a total price cut of £125. saying that would mean you would have to compare the 360's most expensive model at launch against it's cheaper model now, because that is what you're doing with the ps3; comparing the launch 60gb model price to the 40/80gb model price when they are diffferent models. the 60gb ps3 launched at £425, it ONLY recieved a cut of £75. the 40gb was INTRODUCED at £299, and has never been reduced. they are both DIFFERENT models because they have hardware differences. therefore should be treated differently.
