The only games where amout of sales matters in my opinion would be multiplayer games. If there won't be anyone playing online, and that's what I want to get the game for...eh.
Single-Player games (God of War for instane) I could care less. Like someone else said - I'd be disappointed if it sold low because it would be much less likely to get a sequel..but I'd still buy it.
