My point isn't to slate NSMB. The point is regarding the Wiimote and lengthy adventure games. Nintendo have to incorporate a fairly complex Wiimote control scheme into this game, make it work so well that it can support the entire length of the game, and also make it simple enough so that kids can play. In other words, they have no choice but to dumb things right down.
Anyway, that is my last word on the subject in this thread. It wasn't my intention to derail the topic. I'll start up the Mario Galaxy thread proper some time.
Dumbed down? I pray that Mario Galaxy is as "dumbed down" as NSMB, as that was one of the most fun games I played for ages. Sunshine was overly complicated, and it ruined the game to a certain extent. Anyway, its all good - bring 'em on!
