Yeah, the length of the ban as opposed to a warning is a little harsh IMO. That said, she can use the time to learn how to edit posts instead of so many follow-ups in ones own thread, and to be patient...
On topic: Yes, get one. Not many games now, and might not ever be many, but it's still good to get on it's own. Unfortunately the wii can only support one at a time.
