reading this topic from the beginning, i was thinking of a good reply that involvied talking about copyright ownerships and all... but maxwell did the greatest job out of it and I support all he said, Soriku is actually right about the ip ownership, and as soriku himself said without nomura it wouldn't be the same, so for the fans of the series (I'm actually not one... yet! hehe if they did choose to port 1 and 2 to wii I might give them a chance as I dont own a PS2), so for the fans of the series ist is a real good thing Square Enix is in good terms with Disney...
And as some othe poster said maybe they would LET SE publish the game where they wanted (even if SE doesnt own squat of the IP) just because realtions are good, they talk about the project and square has a say in those talks, the decision is Disney's though, if they cared for the console they wanted the game to go, they could take it to some other developer and do it... (and for those who say only Nomura knows how the game ends.... let me tell you something... there are thousands of good writers that could take the story on the first games and write something for the next ones... It wouldnt be the sames as nomura's vision, but it might turn even better, or way worse or in between... It's actually not a good thing to speculate into that as they are in good terms).
That Said, I think the game would work wonderfully with the wiimote, but I think Wii motion + would not be necessary as the best implementation would be something like No more heroes where attacks are mapped to A and the position of the wii mote affected the attack... I think Wii motion plus not being a pack in with every controller would limit the audience of the game if it only utilized that... I guess the best for the game would be wii NMH controls and an alternate control method with the classic of gamecube controller for those who prefer that. Even Wiimote in horizontal form for those cheap people who wont buy a classic controller hehe.
And before all of you guys start to attack me, I don't mind the game being on PS3and I think that's very likely, I just think the argument that SE has the legal say in the matter is laughable.
also I think it's very hypocritical of some people to bash wiimote controls and then saying it could work with motion sixaxis functionality better... go figure... that just shows how big of a sony fanboy they are... Also the guy who said he lost faith in SE because they made FFXIII multiplat, I hink they did a great thing, maximizing the possible audience with both HD consoles... and doing that same thing with KHIII wouldnt be bad at all (even if I'm a wii owner) I could easily see the game going HD multiplat
