LBP has a story I believe, you know like mario saving peach with a bunch of random platforming levels.

You dont have to make levels, since the game is already packed with a "story" mode with 50-60levels.

I like that it has a story, but I am wondering if new levels make much difference if there is no story with them or the story never really changes and they are just different levels.

Considering that the creator of any given level has the ability to not only link multiple stages together but add text, storyline, music, etc... I would assume each new level would have story and direction based on what the creator wishes.

Mario Sackboy must fight his way through the hordes of Plants and Turtles to save Sackgirl Peach from the evil cardboard Bowser. This is possible not to mention it would be pretty badass. :)

Maybe even a Castlevania themed level. Metroid even? How about Sidescrolling, jumping Sackboy Solid Snake?

This is the beauty of it.

In a game like this, why the need for so much story? Did Mario games ever need this?
