Look, I dont mind if people buy this toy and like it. Thats there thing and who am I to tell them to not like it.
My issue is economics. If Nintendo releases this toy, with a budget of Im sure under 500,000 dollars since its using assets already established and songs that you dont need to buy rights to or Nintendo already owns, and sells 10 million copies because granny Smith and Gramps Smith got it, and Nintendo makes a shit ton of money off it, other companies will see that they dont need to worry about adding skill based play even to their games and they can make a truck load of money.
Its already happening on the Wii, look at the crap load of horrible games you people have to slog through everyday. Pretty much everything with a Z on it. They looked at WiiPlay and WiiSports and said, "Hey! We can just make a bunch of mini-games for cheap too!!!" and they did, and they made millions.
Im afraid that this crap will spread to other platforms as Sony and Microsoft continue to push to get some of the Wii's casual market and the 3rd parties take their crappy Wii games to those systems.
This is what Im afraid of, and why I hate this toy. If Nintendo shows 3rd parties that they dont even have to make their games "games" and still make millions upon millions of dollars, its only a matter of time before all their flash apps start showing up too.
I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.
