The margin of victory was too small to have significance sales-wise, however it does give Microsoft something to brag about. September 360 will lead by a higher margin, but I expect October through December to be at least neck and neck, if not PS3 leading.

Actually it's not even going to be close not at these price point anyway. The only real possible chance is October, but Nov and Dec, neh eh. Price point is going to be so very key and considering the PS3 will be the same price point as last October I see no reason why that would even remotely happen with a $199 starting price for the 360, unlike last fall and we all know what happened last Nov and Dec.

But we must also remember the Blu-ray Factor.

The priced of HD sets are going to be down and  there is NO HD DVD /confusion this holiday season.  I think that will help Sony sell PS3s even without a price drop.

Plus the PS3 will have a better selection of games than it did last year.

I think it will be neck and neck for the ps3 & 360, with the Wii killing them both (if there is no shortages).
