Wii Music is NOT meant for people on VGChartz -- for the most part.
Think about it. People here tend to play a lot more and a lot more competitively than the typical person who plays video games.
If you can only spell "owned" with a P, there are much better games for you -- either on the Wii (SSBB, MKWii) or elsewhere (Halo3, MGS-OL).
But, if you want a fun diversion, then Wii Music fits the bill. It is accessible and non-competitive. It will be bought by those who want Nintendo music, those who have younger children, and those who have older relatives (or care for them). In other words, this game could be huge on the nursery school and nursing home set.
This is not being disrespectful toward the game -- it is a masterful idea of filling a void and providing another experience to non-traditional (or those who know/play with/care for) non-traditional players.
Just because few people here are going to buy it does not mean much. It will sell 5M lifetime -- easily.

EDIT ADD -- PS -- Even at $50, this is a bargain for the experience. Tickets for three for Backyardigans Live! would set me back $54 (cheap seats) to $63 (OK seats) to $93 (good seats) to $105 (front row seats). All that for 90 minutes of entertainment.
I am Mario.I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble. Wii Friend Code: 1624 6601 1126 1492 NNID: Mike_INTV |
