I think you could make this battle a bit more interesting by adding, that this might be a master vs apprentice battle, for we all know the guys who made LBP were originally members of Lionhead and may have worked under Molyneux.
In my opinion Fable 2 will have bigger initial sales (especially because it's not a new IP and therefore already has fans who will pre-order it), but if LBP receives the tremendous word of mouth I am expecting, it might fly by Fable2s sales in 2009.
From a scores perspective the games should be in a ~5% range of each other .. well, if both games show they are as good as the hype wants them to be that is.
