It is a problem for hardcore gamers with 20gb/40gb/60gb consoles.
80gb machines should last a little longer.
You have to remember though that the solution is either deleting data or buying a new HDD and the majority of users will not be affected. I mean how many people are going to fill up their HDD without learning how to delete data off it ?
