It was an Official Bundle for christmas of 1990 or 1991. I can't remeber which. However, not counting Nintendogs is stupid, some of those bundles were bought specifically for the Nintendogs game which coincidentally you needed a DS to play. As others have said, the only ones you should discount are ones that sold at launch ie- Super MArio Bros., Tetris, Mario World ect.
