Because Wii games relies on legs, not its because its a blockbuster in its first month. Have you seen the pattern yet? Most HD console games dropped hard after a month or two on its release while Wii games still keeps selling. Madden 08 is the proof of it, it will keep selling till the end of the year could be a million seller in 2009. Last time I checked Madden 08 its only on 600,000 range now its on 800,000. And for a small development cost of Wii games 3rd parties sure are happy...
Boom Blox also the game that relies on legs, Im not surprised if the game will be a million seller eventually.
Game developers/publishers relies more on profits rather than the total amount of sales.

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced
E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.
E3 2010- Tape runs out
