Also, it's funny you gripe about the game changing. This isn't really a criticism of you, it's just more of an interesting observation.
People always complain that Nintendo keeps giving us the same rehash over and over again yet when they change the formula of one of their games like Warioware people complain.
Again, if you haven't given the 12 player a go, get a large group of friends and just have fun. Even with 4-6 players it's still loads of fun because you never know who's next and you never know what they're going to throw at you.
