ugh, we shouldn't drive too far down the simple left right dichotomy. Libertarianism isn't just a more extreme form of the Republican parties more prominent ideologies. It's something quite different. But the two do tend to end up in the same party.
Outside of protest votes, the very nature of being a one state third candidate will eliminate much of his support, but if he gets on the ballot in a couple more states, we might just see a bit of a Ron Paul Revival. Finally something to make this election interesting on the democracy side.
