I'd also bet that a few reviewers played less of the game than you currently have before they submitted their reviews. I'm looking at 2 of the 3 EGM guys, and the Gamepro chick.
I mean, nobody really believes these guys play a 60 hour game in order to write a 3 line pros and cons section in a magazine nobody reads, or in the case of the gamepro chick, a 90 word essay that wouldn't fill half a type page doublespaced.
These reviewers obviously aren't finishing their games, and that's one reason reviewers hate jrpgs.
Now, you get a reviewer that loves the genre, like VanOrd and gamespot, and you'll get a fair review.
