Most remakes made are based on the original game of a franchise. Square-Enix is pretty much the only company who makes remakes of sequels, in some cases several times.

The chances for FE VI ever getting a remake or a localisation on Virtual Console are next to none. You might want to make an exception and download the ROM. I did the same this summer, it was well worth it.

Have you forgotten the Super Mario Advance series?  Or the other GBA remakes like Donkey Kong Country 1-3, A Link to the Past, Metroid: Zero Mission, or Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland?
