I think they will use the SD card to store contents, remember the days where manufacturers introduce various non-SDHC compatible 4GB SD cards, I think Nintendo is able to do similar staffs. Just that they need to handle the data encryption properly so that hackers cannot pirates the games directly from SD card (even though hackers has exploited the twilight hack)
