Cleary you have not unlocked large repetitions of strength training exercises. Advanced yoga poses and aerobics (especially with unlocked advanced levels) do provide a good workout, especially for those not already exercising.
Sure, there are flaws..... no way to program daily routines, too much down time in between exercises, balance games (fun, but not really "fitness"). But if you are saying you can't get a strenuous workout from Wii fit, you CLEARLY need to play it again (and lay off the balance category).
And in agreement with you, the balance board will get the most use from other games utilizing it. A Wario Ware Balance would be enormous fun, Shawn White may not look as polished as the HD versions, but board controls done right could still allow it to be the best version.
Marble Madness 2 has great potential (the first is one of the Wii's most underrated and best games, balance board control will be insane). A proper 3rd party fitness tool that allows programmed routines would be huge.
