I don't think it would be impossible to make a 1:1 sword fighting game that is fun. I think what most (internet) people want out of the game is not going to be a terrible lot of fun. This mostly stems from the fact that the game still won't be very accurate at all with only Wiimotion+. So long as my arm is not capable of being stopped when the sword is blocked there will be a huge problem with attempting to make it 1:1 motion. I am extremely intrigued by Wii Sports: Resort just to see what Nintendo's solution to the problem is, although I think I already know it.
