Hunters, Halo, and the Prime series don't control similarly at all. On top of that, Corruption doesn't control similarly to the other two Prime games. The first two weren't exactly FPSs in the traditional, action-oriented sense of the term, but it seems like Retro increased the pacing and the number of enemies on screen at any given time.

As I expect Corruption to be much better than the first two, and I consider the original Prime to be enough reason to buy a system, I'd say yes. Wait for a couple reviews, though.
