@DK ok well 4D with no more specification for most scientist in the world it will mean you are using a time variable and it is like that since the einstein relativity theory....

but you are right you can have a fourth spatial dimension, but usually it is specified and use an additional terminology.... and you have other way. but you have to admit that, thrown like that in conversation with people having a minimum scientific knowledge, it is likely to be considered as time.....

now 4D for PS3 is a total marketing deformation from Sony like nobody else know how to do it... and it can be said for most of their products.....


now people about the numbers i'm not a statistic fan ( i mean i like to analyse them not to do them lol) so i want give out any numbers for this year and even less for next year....

but what some people seem to forget is what is going to be the advertising and marketing strategy not only of the different constructors but also retailers, developers, and word of mouth.... with two mammoth like Sony and MS it's a long shot to prophesies anything for 2008....

with best buy clearly taking a stand for XB.... with blockbuster announcing doing only blu ray.... with MS developing hd content downloadable worldwide.... with wall mart ordering I don't remember how many cheap HD players... with MS who is keeping secret most of their new exclusive.... yes sony has more announced right now.... but that might be their downfall too... anybody who thinks MS won't have anything to offer to match Sony in 2008 is a fool..... without saying that MS is more than likely willing to put green on the table to buy some of Sony exclusives... what you've heard at E3 2007 for 2008 is to take with great caution....

you want some facts, a lot of studies shows that most consumer think they don't react to advertising, when the same studies show that most people in fact do react to it....so wait before doing any guess, consumer behavior is complicated science.... but do you think corporations would be investing that much money into advertising and marketing operations if it wasn't efficient ???

now in france and in most if not all europe, retailers can advertise on TV (i don't know about japan) that is going to play a roll too. because even if Sony and MS and nintendo are doing a good or bad job on their side... the retailer advertisings are going to play a big roll in that matter.... MS and Sony are going to pay millions if not billions on the long run to have their product displayed and advertise in priority.....

but my personal belief is that Sony PS3 will never pass MS XB360 in 2008 total ww sale and probably will not in 2009...... and the reason is simply that MS will do everything in their power to prevent sony to close the gap.... and trust me they have power and willpower for that.... Sony might sell as well as MS but with one year delay.... which will prevent them to close it....

well anyway everybody should at least wait until September and the end of all the convention and the reaction of the professional to make any educated guess..... but in any case if Sony PS3 Christmas sales are a failure and MS XB360 does well I'm pretty sure PS3 will never comeback.... and sony might then be hurt for the next generation especially if the stock holders start to get shy.... but that as any other speculation is a pure wild guess....

for that war the fog is going to dissipate around the end of January mid February 2008
