One of MS analysts explains why they feel that the Xbox 360 will beat the Sony PS3 this holiday in NA ; Jesse Divnich has said that Sony should worry about Microsoft’s multi-model price cut.
Divnich explains that Sony needs to make another price drop to keep pace with the Xbox 360, also saying that when hardware breaks the (magic) $200 price barrier, history shows a console will take a leap in sales. 360 European price drop has shown history doesn't repeat ...
Its true that consumer spending is getting weaker thanks to the current credit crunch, recession fears, and increase of bill costs. This weaker environment should help the lowest price games systems to increase market share.
Which console do you think will sell more this holiday, my bets on the Nintendo Wii?

Something caused an increase in sales for the 360.
Maybe it was the good will towards M$ from the EU. /sarcasm
