I really like the mock up created by Phil Nolan.
If it does happen, it's almost assuredly going to be a refresh, because the DS still technically hasn't peaked. Why release the DS2 when there is still so much life left in the original?
If they made the top screen touch sensitive, we would still be able to play all of the original DS games. It would just add a new dynamic to games being made in the future.
