I disagree with a lot of the comments in this thread about the sales of this game. Especially saying that the sales for this game will be between Paper Mario on GCN and New Super Mario Bros... that's a pretty broad number... and also pretty obvious that it will sell between these two... Paper Mario 1000 Year Door didn't do spectacularly... it defiantly has way more potential than that, but no way near as much as New Super Mario Bros. I believe sales of over 2 million worldwide is possible for this game, but I don't believe it will go TOO much higher than that. I do not believe this game is a system seller, it's not the type of game that someone will see and then go out and buy a Wii because of. Some owners who already have a Wii might purchase this game as it's a good game to compliment their collection, but it definitely doesn't appeal to the 'new' gamers that Nintendo has brought in. The analogy about this game being the New Super Mario Bros of the Wii is definitely un-founded... it departs from the style of the old Mario games too much... a lot of people who like the 2D games can't stand the 3D elements... and I'm just not sure it has that kind of power behind it. The name Super Paper Mario certainly helps this game, but the slower paced game play and the story and RPG elements I think will turn off some classic Mario players. Don't expect HUGE numbers from this game people, you'll be setting yourself up for disappointment.
