I own Red Steel and RE4 for my Wii. Using the remote and nunchuk works well for moving around in both games but my preference is for the scheme used by Red Steel. Aside from the naff sword fighting sequences I prefer Red Steel because the controls allow me to side step.

I don't like RE4 as much because left/right on the nunchuk is used to turn the player whereas in Red Steel the wiimote is used to turn the player as the gun sights near the edge of the screen, this leaves the left/right on the nunchuk to side-step. For instance if I know an enemy is on the left at the top of the stairs in Red Steel I can turn and walk sideways up the stairs, shooting as I go, but in RE4 I have to walk up the stairs, then turn and start shooting. Everyone will have their preference I guess.

I think that EA got it right in Need For Speed Carbon by providing 5 different methods of controlling the cars. I guess my point is with the Wii controls being different to other consoles I would like to see games come out with multiple different control schemes ala NFS Carbon, that way everyone will get the choice and will enjoy the games more rather than struggling with the controls and getting frustrated.
