The PS3 isn't doing as bad as N64 did to PS1 when you think about it

Consoles are more expensive these days then the good old days. N64 had only a few great games, PS1 had most of the great games back in those days. PS1 was Cd based console. N64 shot itself in the foot by being a cartridge based console and N64 has weak third party support. Only good companies on N64 were Nintendo and Rare who made the great games for N64.
