It is impossible to base every game's quality on personal gaming experience because that would mean that you would have to buy every game. Firstly who has that kind of money to buy every game and second that is a huge waste of cash anyway. I listen to the actual reviews more then the score. If the written/video is actually in favor of the game with minor flaws and I have set interest in it already, I will buy it. From there I will decide if it is good or not.
I mean if a food critic tells you that he got food poisoning from a restaurant you don't go a see for your self now do you? You must weigh both the public's opinion of a game and your own impression of it, that way you can be a smart consumer like me lol. :)
