Please don't mention the SquareEnix remakes because I do not consider the SNES era RPG's to have a high or near high standard of storytelling. Thematic exploration of the Final Fantasy IV remake is immensely satisfying. Expansion on the themes of the story (particularly the relationship between brotherhood and corruption) makes it an almost entirely different experience from the original game.
