10 hours gameplay = Pathetic.

Lack of cutscenes for story = Pathetic. Perfect Dark managed that.

Only 9 levels = Pathetic.

But the icing on the cake?

Motion plus requirement for full enjoyment? That is this game off my list.

I was really looking forward to this game, not anymore. I couldn't care less about the online multiplayer, I've long given up dealing with the crappiness that is online Wii gaming.

To each his own of course, but I guess you didn't want to play this game so badly if the amount of levels and cutscenes make you not want the game anymore.

I might have forgiven it if I didn't need motion plus to make full use of the game.  The price for extra control sets on the wii is a huge joke already, not buying into add-ons for all.  Nintendo just ripping people off there.  Looking at how much extra controls sets would cost, I could buy a 360 with a couple games for heavens sake.

Still, that's a short game, I don't care if some other FPS games are short, they just fail as well.  A poor standard is not an acceptable standard.

The time when cutscenes (in-game or not) should be omitted when progressing story in games has long past, any game not doing that given the capabilities today is just bad and taking steps backwards.

Nine levels only tells me the areas are going to get repetitive fast, there could be more than nine areas?  Surely that should mean there will be more than nine levels then?

Who says you need the Motion Plus? Do you need the Zapper to enjoy Umbrella Chronicles? Do you need the Wheel to enjoy Mario Kart? The game will probably support it for extra sensitivity and maybe a gimmick or two. The Conduit is made without the Motion Plus in mind, so it probably isn't necessary to have it.

Also, not using cutscenes is an artistic choice, it has nothing to do with lazyness or lack of skill. The Half-Life series don't have any cutscenes, you want to tell me Half-Life is shit because of it?

About the 10 hours, the original article says it takes about 10 hours if you rush through the levels, but it takes more time if you explore the levels a bit. 10+ hours is pretty long for a shooter, and it has a multiplayer component to boot.

I get the feeling you didn't like the game in the first place and feel this article is a justification to bash the game.
