* These are games that may go multi platform. SE buying out Tecmo would pretty much guarantee DoA and Ninja Gaiden going multi plat.
- Games most PS3 owners dont really care about. The racing games have plenty of other options. GT over Forza and with games like GRID PGR as good as it may be is just another racer. Too Human was Too Crap IMO.
SO that leaves how many games?! Let's not forget that Halo is not so big a deal anymore. Halo 3 was more of an expansion to Halo 2 then a new game, granted how well it plays it wasn't good enough to be names Halo3. Bungie made the game what it is and now Bungie are going their own way. Bungie can easily create a new Halo and title it Kalo and have it go multiplat and that would mean what for 360 having Halo?
I can't believe I have to do this but hear you go:
Afrika, LBP, GOW3, GT, EYEPET, Eyedentity, Team Ico Projects, KZ2, R2, Heavy Rain, Uncharted2, JAk & Daxter, R&C, Heavenly Sword 2, Motor Storm2, Flower, FFV13 and some others I have probably missed out.
Other then the games being released, you have to take into consideration the growing momentum of the PS3 and the flexibility the Devs have in making games on the PS3; more space, more help, more freedom in content sharing and prices.
MGS4 sold better then Konami expected without the need of going multiplatform. Meaning even in the future they won't need to ask themselves the question of making the game for a 360. However, with growing and competitive software and hardware sales for a console who is still 5million units behind, it seems lucrative for Epic to go multiplatform. Unless MS can pay to keep them, it would be more profitable for Epic to go multiplatform.
Unlike MSG, Gears is not a niche game. Face it, MGS is mostly enjoyed by those who like MG games. I hate the long winded story and extra long cutscenes. I cant stand them! many MS users would probably feel the same way. Gears is a shooter and easily played and enjoyed unlike MGS. It is more accessible and therefore there is less risk for multi plat not being profitable.
I think my argument is more logical and less biased, but then again it is just my opinion.
