That is the biggest bunch of crap to say that people are only buying the Wii because it is the cheapest.

Sure, it is more of an impulse buy because it so much cheaper than it's competitors, but other factors obviously contribute. By that same logic, the ONLY reason why people aren't buying a PS3 is the price, not the fact the games aren't that great and the ones that are can be obtained on a 360 for a much cheaper price. Didn't the PS3 have a price cut(temporary?) I don't remember seeing reports of it selling out after.

If people are looking for a cheap console then go buy a GameCube or PS2, which are both more available, less of a hassle to find, and well established libraries with cheaper games.

I don't consider either N64 or GC a failure because they both provided some of the most classic games to their consumers and the company (Nintendo) with massive profits. Sure they both could have sold more units with a more robust library of games similar to the PS(2), but they performed sufficiently and are more than making up for previous mistakes with Wii.

The Wii is something so different and fun, that it could continue to sell at it's current pace off of pure word of mouth
