Nope.. Flash CS4 is coming with 64bit support and way more improvements.. Adobe is getting ready to change a lot.. they know they where a bit lazy the last few years with flash..
The poor integration in modern webbrowsers?? Ask Microsoft for changing the code in internet explorer so every flash based site had to use a javascript to get it back working.
In the Design industry nobody is really getting ready to change to Silverlight because well Flash has a 98% integration with web users and silverlight like... uhm anyone have it??
And there are concerend about the possibilty that they are gonna charge money for content through silverlight.. if Silverlight usage becomes widespread enough, users will risk having to purchase Microsoft products to access web content.. because they build a new language (XAML which can replace HTML) they control..
When you are a silverlight developer you also have to use Microsoft Expression Blend & Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, .NET, ..all Microsoft products.. you don't have a choice..
And Silverlight is way less crossplatform then Flash.. but the main thing is, that we would have to pay thousands of people to have them learn silverlight.. All the flash designers would have to learn a new trick..
So no Silverlight is not gonna replace flash.. Flash and Flex from Adobe will dominate the internet..
Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)
