I thought you were pro life? Don't you believe abortion is wrong even if the pregnant woman's life is in danger (or am I thinking of someone else). And then you say something like that? Doesn't that seem a bit hypocritical?.

Anyway, just to use one of pro-lifers favourite arguments against them, you just killed Beethoven.

1) But this isnt even the issue.  Not allowing someone have a child, is not the same as abortion.

2) In regards to beethoven though...Deaf  people are more than able to live happy, healthy, and productive lives within our societies.  So i wouldnt even classify it like that.

and i am pro life, but thats not my correct position

1) The point was that if it was your choice, you wouldn't abort a fetus, even if the woman's life was in danger. But you would prevent that woman from having a baby, because she might pass her disease on to her offspring, which could harm others. Do you see why that is hypocritcal? But if thats not your stance then forget I said it.

2) The pro-life argument goes like this. A married couple visit the doctors for advice on whether they should have an abortion. The male has syphilis, the female also has a disease. The couple have already had five children. Some died in infancy from diseases passed on from their parents. The others survived, but have diseases as well. If you were the doctor, would you advise them to have the fetus aborted? If you said yes, you just killed Beethoven. Because apparently Beethoven's dad had syphilis and his mum had diseases etc etc.

You would stop them from having children in the first place. Therefore you killed Beethoven.
