Based on the review (2D graphics not in HD) probably means the sprites get stretched out on a larger screen, which is terrible for a HD game (and the reason I don't buy Wii VC games anymore).
From what I've seen, where FF 1 and 2 made an awesome 2D appearance on the PSP with updated graphics, Disgaea took what the PS2 had and just stretched it out.
Also, I'm getting a little sick of developers (ANY CONSOLE) that don't update their game engines with next gen systems. Obviously it's possible to do better now with better tech, so why not pony up the dough from the start for a truly next gen effort which will give you an engine that'll last 7+ years (is how long this gen will last with the major players still around). That's the same complaint I had with NG2, except that combat engine that was once incredible is still very good, where as Disgaea's went from a great system to borderline okay.
By the way, I'm loving all the PS3 fanboys who hurled abuse at Too Human for getting average reviews and being a high profile release and then blasting the 360 fanboys that said it was a niche diablo-esque game, now saying that this is a niche game and a 6.7 is okay, despite them calling this a high profile PS3 release earlier in the year.
You guys do know that IGN gave the PS2 games a 9.2 and 8.5 right? So the IGN guys couldn't just have "not got" this game because it's a niche game if they loved the 2 prior games.
