One of the problems i see in Gears2, is that when you shoot somebody you don't really feel like you are doing any damage. They just stand there and continue coming at you like nothing is happening. Now in the Killzone 2 videos, i feel that each time i pull the trigger i can feel the impact that makes on each and every person i hit.

This is one part where KZ2 pulls far ahead of Gears2, Gears2 just doesn't have the budget or resources to do this. Maybe Gears3 will have this with the next gen Unreal engine, but not now.

Does anyone else get this feeling from the games?

No damage huh? When you shoot the people blood is everywhere. It's gorey as hell. If you've played Gears 1 and didn't notice it (Which I would have to question your eyes) something needs to be said to you. When I played gears 1, when you shot people they would wince before ducking into hiding, and it would form a kind of bloodlust, when you came after them to saw them in half. The next thing is unlike Killzone, if you get shot a certain amount of times in Gears you're nearly dead unless revived. Gears feels more like a in war simulation. Literally, i've never felt more enthralled in a war than in Gears of War. In that aspect it gave me something not even Halo could give me in a shooter. This is why I believe they are the 1, 2 punch in the shooter department. I'll compare the damage of course because they are shooters and you have to react to a gunshot, but I like Gears 2 better as far as damage is concerned. As far as KZ2 and Gears are concerned in other arguments and comparisons It wouldn't be healthy to compare a TPS to an FPS.
